Floorhands perform general labor tasks in support of drilling or well servicing.
At a drilling rig, floorhand responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the connection and disconnection of pipes
- Cleaning and maintaining rig equipment and drilling floor
- Operating the mud pump
- Assisting other crew members
- Ensuring compliance with safety procedures
