Welder/Welder Helper


Welders in the gas industry not only weld and fit up welds, but also may perform general repair duties in addition to welding. On some jobs, particularly in pipeline welding, welder helpers are used to assist welders.

Responsibilities of a welder include:

  • Repairing pipelines
  • Maintaining drilling rigs
  • Fixing heavy equipment
  • Performing pipe welding or structural welding
